Course Objectives

This qualification is designed for individuals who require significant foundation skills support to access a vocational learning pathway. The qualification is suitable for individuals who require:
  • a prevocational pathway to employment and vocational training
  • reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 1
  • entry level digital technology and employability skills.

    There are no admission requirements for this qualification.

      Course Requirements

      To achieve a Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways a total of ELEVEN (11) units of competency must be completed. This comprises of SEVEN (7) core units of competency and FOUR (4) elective units of competency as outlined in the packaging rules and as detailed below.

        Statement of Attainments

        A Statement of Attainment is issued by a Registered Training Organisation when an individual has successfully completed one or more units of competency from nationally recognised qualification(s)/course(s).

        An individual can be issued with this if they have not completed and do not intend to complete the entire qualification(s)/ course(s), as per the completion rules for the specified qualification(s).

        Course Fees for NT Residents

        Students will be liable to pay the VET Tuition fee of:
        $2.00 per nominal hour for enrolment
        $0.00 per nominal hour for RPL

        Students may be eligible to apply for a fee exemption
        Students are not eligible for a VET FEE-HELP loan


        Course Fees for Insterstate Students

        Students will be liable to pay the VET Full fees.

        This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use digital technology to undertake basic workplace tasks under supervision.
